Labrador Mountain Ski Club: J5

This program is for racers ages nine–ten. Weeknight and Weekend training J5 athletes have the opportunity to compete in events
held on Sundays throughout Central New York.

Eligilibity

Exceptions to this age grouping for level are made for 7-8 year olds
who have the experience and ability to participate. If you feel that
an exception should be made for your racer please contact the Club's
Program Director.

Racing Schedule

J5's race within the Central New York Ski Council, which includes
Labrador, Toggenburg, Song, and Greek Peak. Races are on Sundays.
Additional "fun" races are often held at Cazenovia adn Skaneatles ski clubs.
Athletes should refer to the State Schedule on the NYSSRA Web site
for race schedules.

There is no state championship event for this level. Instead, there is
the post-season Kandahar Open and Invitational which will provide an
opportunity to compete against racers from around the entire state.

Training

First there is Holiday Camp that will be held between
Christmas and New Years, please see the Events
schedule. After the camp, training will be every
Saturday from 8:30 am-2:30 pm
and Tuesday nights from 5:30-8:30pm.

Costs

• Family Membership Dues / $150 per family
• Coaching Fees / $360 per racer (includes
a $6 NASTAR fee)
• Labrador Mountain Ski Pass
• Club's liability insurance / $50 per racer

Requirements to Join

Please download and submit the Medical Information & Release Form prior to the
beginning of the season with your payment. Thank you! You must become a member
of LMSC as well as both United States Ski and Snowboard Association USSA and
New York State Ski Racing Association NYSSRA.
