The Flying Forerunners program is designed for young skiers, ages 5-9, who want to work on skiing fundamentals and participate in fun, non-competitive races.  It is ideal for beginning skiers who want to improve their skills and try racing in a safe, fun and controlled group setting.  Children are grouped by age and ability.  Participants must be able to manage equipment and ski lifts with minimal assistance.  Coaches with teaching experience and who enjoy working with children coach this very popular program.

Training:  The development team meets on 6 consecutive Saturdays from January 5 through February 10, with February 17 reserved as a make-up date.  Each session includes training, games on snow and a fun race.  There is also an end-of-season party.

  • Morning training begins at 9:00 AM and ends at 11:30 AM for lunch (parents supervise lunch, please).
  • The afternoon session begins at 12:30 PM and ends at 2:30 PM.
