Labrador Mountain Ski Club:
Flying Forerunners
Designed for children five(5) to nine(9) years old to spend as much time having fun and learning the love of the sport while developing solid fundamental skills.
PROGRAM DIRECTOR: Kerrie Nesbitt-Wormer race@labskiteam.org
Eligibility
We consider Flying Forerunners a valuable component of our program. This is
where we introduce the awesome sport of ski racing as we develop
skilled skiers and great racers for the following programs. It is ideal for
beginning skiers who want to improve their skills and try racing
in
a safe, fun and controlled group setting. Children are grouped by
age
and ability. Participants must be able to manage equipment
and
ski lifts with minimal assistance. Coaches with teaching
experience and who enjoy working with children coach this
very popular program.
Training
The Flying Forerunners group meets on 6 consecutive Saturdays
starting the first weekend in January and running through the
beginning/middle of February. Each session includes training, games on
snow and a fun race. There is also an end-of-season party.

am for lunch (Parents, please supervise!). The afternoon
