V. SPONSORSHIPS
Thank you to those who have written checks
to support the Club. As you can imagine, we still have a few sponsorship
positions available and are hoping that you might consider supporting the
Club. For additional information, please see the attachment for
Sponsorships. Please remember that your donations are tax deductible, because
the Labrador Mountain Ski Club is a charitable, 501c3 organization.
VI. MEMBERSHIP REBATE
OPPORTUNITIES
Your Board of Directors has been trying to
create a means where members can defray the costs of membership. The
following are two ways that members can receive money back.
A. RAFFLE TICKETS
With the annual invoices, each member is
required to sell 10 raffle tickets. These ten raffle tickets are paid in
advance with the Coaching Fees and any money collected from the sale of these
ten the tickets may be kept by the member (or the paying parent). If a member
wishes to sell more than these initial 10 tickets, the member may request
these tickets from Raffle Chairperson, Dave Marshall.
For every $5.00 ticket sold over and above
the initial 10 tickets, the member will receive a rebate of 50%. The tickets
must be turned in to the Raffle Chairperson no later than one day prior to the
drawing with full payment. The Raffle Chairperson will give a “receipt” for
the amount of the rebate due. In the subsequent March, the Treasurer will
write a check to the member for the value of the rebate earned. This
opportunity is limited to and cannot exceed 50% of the initial Coaching Fees.
B. SPONSORSHIP SIGNS
The Board has approved the selling of
signs for sponsorships. These signs will hang on the north side of the Triple
Chair building. The recommended sponsorship levels are:
Gold = $2,500 and above
Silver = $1,500 to $2,499
Bronze = $500 to $1,499
Members may have an opportunity of earning
a “rebate/commission” on the sale of any sponsorships in these categories.
The rebate will amount to 10% of the value of the sponsorship (above $500).
This rebate will be paid in March of the fiscal year the sponsorship is sold.
