This program offers 13 and 14 year-old racers extensive training during the transition
period from development racing to the J1-2 circuit.
Training: Tuesday, Wednesday,
Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, beginning the first
day that Labrador Mountain is open. Training
continues through March 9 and later for racers
qualifying for end-of-season championship events.
Training Times:
- Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday nights from
5:30-8:30PM
- Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 AM-2:30 PM
Family Membership Dues: Membership dues, which cover administrative and equipment costs
related to the race program, are $150 per family.
Coaching Fees: Fees for the
2007-2008 season $470 per racer. This includes a $6 NASTAR fee. The coaching fee does not include the Labrador Mountain Ski Pass.
Insurance Charge: There is an
additional $50 charge per racer for the Club's
liability insurance.
Health Information Form: All racers must
have this form on file prior to the beginning of the
season. Download the
Medical Information & Release Form and submit it with your
payment.
Additional Required Memberships:
J3 racers must have a United States Ski and
Snowboard Association (USSA) Competitor's License and
must be a member of the New York State Ski Racing
Association (NYSSRA) if they wish to compete.
Renewal applications are sent by USSA. Applications for

J3 Racing: Junior 3s from Central Council clubs race in the NYSSRA West Division,
with races scheduled at ski areas in Central New
York west to the Buffalo area. Participation in the
J3 State
Championship selection process is outlined in the
Central Council Directory, which is published
and distributed to Club members in December. Selection to additional post-season events
is also covered in the Directory and in the NYSSRA
Competition Guide.
Racing Schedule: J3
racers should refer to the
2008 J3-4 State Schedule on the
NYSSRA Web site for race schedules. They should then confer with their
coaches to choose competitions that best meet their needs and requirements.
